Audit History
Track every feature flag change with a complete audit trail and one-click rollbacks in Flipper Cloud.
Overview
Flipper Cloud keeps a complete audit trail of every feature flag change. You can see who changed a feature, when they changed it, and exactly what changed. Audit history is available on each feature's detail page within an environment.
What Gets Tracked
Every feature flag action is recorded, including:
- Feature enabled or disabled
- Actor added or removed
- Group enabled or disabled
- Percentage of actors or time changed
- Expression enabled or disabled
- Gates cleared
- Feature created or removed
- Feature mirrored from production
- Feature rolled back to a previous state
Each audit entry records the person or API token that made the change, their IP address, and the complete feature state after the change was applied.
One-Click Rollbacks
Made a mistake? Rollback to any previous state with a single click.
Each audit entry captures a complete snapshot of the feature's gate configuration at that point in time. When you rollback, the feature is restored to exactly the state it was in after that change — including all actors, groups, percentages, and expressions.
Rollbacks are themselves audited, so you always have a record of what happened and can rollback a rollback if needed.
Retention
How long audit history is retained depends on your plan. Higher (and yearly) plans retain more history. See the pricing page for details.
API Access
Audit history is available through the Cloud API. You can list audits with pagination and filter by feature key.
